Life Update: Lockdown Edition

Hey! It’s been a while since we got to chit chat — and a long while since we had a bit of a life update — so here we are. I’ll keep it short and sweet so you can get back to binge-watching a show about strangers falling in love while their family members and friends freak out because they’re not in it for the right reasons. Review: FabFitFun Spring 2020

Last fall, I signed up for FabFitFun (Even though I’m not their target demographic.) That said, I love me some skincare, home goods, and have friends that appreciate the palettes and other makeup products they get when they come in my box. For the first time since joining, I did the math on this box. I couldn’t believe that I got all these products (a $335 value) for only $50. I know that sounds so salesy — and no, this isn’t sponsored — but it’s true.

7 Tips for The Newly Remote

Amidst the (understandable) panic of COVID-19, many companies are opting to keep as many employees as safe as possible and urging (or in some cases demanding) employees work remotely. And if you’re like me — currently sniffling your way through the day with an anxiety-inducing head cold — you’re grateful for the transition. My Take on Nana’s Pasta Salad Recipe

Ok, before we dive in… I had the best intentions of sharing Nana’s actual recipe. But after I sent her a screengrab of this page, she called me to tell me that each bullet point that was wrong — as any spicy Italian grandmother would. 2020: The Year of Yes (& No)

2019 was a rollercoaster of a year. And while it wasn’t a complete shit show, these past 365 days have been chock full of the highest of highs and lowest of lows. And though I didn’t get out unscathed, I have to say that I’m grateful for what I received and experienced this year, and am fortunate enough that I’m ending this decade on an upswing!

London: The Shopping

We loved London. We loved the food, we loved the architecture, we loved the history — but most of all, we loved the shopping. Shocking, right? One of the first things we talked about while planning this trip was where we wanted to shop, and if there were any specific items we wanted to leave the UK with. Obviously, there was — and our list grew seemingly by the minute.

London: The Sights

We spent a total of six full days in London. And we saw maybe, 5-10% of the city. In all honesty, I didn’t realize how BIG the city actually is. Sure, in terms of population, I was aware — but actual land, I had no clue. So, it’s huge, and like any big city, plagued with traffic (although not as bad as I was led to believe), but it was relatively easy getting around.

London: A Roundup

A few months ago, B and I were sitting on my couch (in my old apartment), surrounded by moving boxes, basking in the Seattle summer sun that was pouring through the window. We’d been discussing plans for our first anniversary, and started throwing ideas out for an international trip. Europe was the obvious choice, and London, the instant frontrunner.
