OTF Gave Me the Plague
Last week, one of my best friends moved to Seattle. M and I have known each other for ten years, so I obviously was over the moon that I finally convinced (tricked) her into moving to The Emerald City. Because I’ve lived up here for two and a half years, we haven’y been able to see each other that often, but it was like no time had passed as soon as B and I picked her up from the airport.

We Moved in Together
B and I were discussing upcoming adventures and plans for the rest of the year, and he says, “Speaking of adventures, what do you think about moving in with me?” Time stopped. I felt my ears radiating heat, my stomach in my throat, and my heart scratch like a record. Did he just ask me to move in with him? I was elated, nervous, nauseous, giddy, surprised, and every other emotion you can imagine all at once.

Hooked: summertime fun
JUMP Bikes! eBikes have been in Seattle for a while now, but I never had the urge to try them — until I saw a couple of bright red Jump bikes on the corner near the park. Now owned by Uber, the rentable bike service is selected in the top menu of the Uber app. Prices are reasonable, but are downright unbeatable if you join the Boost plan.

Thanks for Letting Me Go
"Your position has been eliminated." Said out-loud in two and a half seconds, these five words had enough force to knock my world — my safe-ish, happy-ish little world — right off its axis. I felt my pulse surge into my fingertips, my stomach slide into my throat, and my knees start to quiver.

True Life: I’m in Hiding
Do you remember New Year’s Eve? We were all bright-eyed, motivated, and ready to take on a new year (and do/be way better than we did/were last year?) I, too, had hope for 2019 — things seemed to really be clicking, and it was going. to. be. my. year. I could feel it. Spoiler alert: it’s not. At least so far...

New Year’s Resolutions: 2019
3… 2… 1… I’ve always found it easier to set goals, rather than resolutions, on New Year’s eve. Something about having a specific outcome, versus an open-ended vision, was easier to “nail down” — and also felt more structured in terms of acountability.

This Season, on Avec David
Pop the Ramona Pinot, because The. B. Is. Back. Ok, maybe my return to prime time isn’t as glamorous as Bethenny’s, but you know it’ll be just as dramatic — if not more. After all, did she win “Most Dramatic” two years running in Junior High? While I can’t be certain, I’m willing to guess not.
